JUNE DEVOTION- SACRED HEART OF JESUS
The Catholic Church dedicates the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to honor Christ’s deep love, mercy, and compassion for humanity. This devotion is rooted in Jesus’ revelations to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century and centers on making reparation for sin and growing in trust in His divine love. Since the Feast of the Sacred Heart falls 19 days after Pentecost, it always takes place in June, making it a natural time for the Church to invite the faithful to reflect more deeply on the love of Jesus and respond with renewed devotion and prayer.
