This month’s song is “We Praise You”. Did you know that my wedding ministry journey began when I was just 12 years old? I sang at Josh and Cherie Johnson’s wedding when I was in Junior High School. It was the beginning of my “wedding singer” journey (haha). One of my absolute favorite Psalms for weddings is Psalm 128 - it's all about prospering and holy marriages. 🙏💍"We Praise You" is my go-to wedding song, inspired by this beautiful Psalm. I was married on December 16, 2005. We were blessed to have my husband’s Uncle Pope Huval sing for our wedding. He was joined by Sister Mavis (cousin) and Sister Carla (Sister of our Lady of Sorrows). They of course sang “We Praise You”.
Reflection: Take a moment to pray with Psalm 128 today for all married couples to flourish.
Blessed are all who fear the LORD, and who walk in his ways. What your hands provide you will enjoy you will be blessed and prosper: Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home Your children like young olive plants around your table. Just so will the man be blessed who fears the LORD. May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see Jerusalem’s prosperity all the days of your life, and live to see your children’s children. Peace upon Israel!
